Your information, handled responsibly.
This notice explains what we collect through the website and how it is used when you contact us or book a session.
Information you provide.
When you reserve a session or contact JW Shooting Range, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, preferred session details, firearm type and any message you choose to include.
How we use it.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, assess availability, arrange your visit, keep appropriate booking records and meet applicable legal or administrative obligations. After customer sign-in, we also send a thank-you email with an optional invitation to review your visit on Google. Range news and event updates are a separate opt-in choice. We do not use booking information to sell unrelated products or sell it to third parties.
Keeping information safe.
Access is limited to people and service providers who need the information to operate the booking process and website. Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for these purposes or as required by law.
External services.
The digital indemnity link opens the range’s sign-in app. Contact details, firearm declarations and signed indemnities are stored in the range’s own database. The first-visit page requests forecast data from Open-Meteo using the range location; the website does not send your booking details to the weather provider.
Your choices.
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or raise a privacy concern by emailing info@jwshootingrange.co.za.
Optional website statistics.
If you allow website statistics, we use random browser identifiers to estimate visitors and visits, new and returning visitors, public pages viewed, time active on those pages, device category, referring website hostname and booking starts or confirmations. These statistics are stored in the range’s database, separately from customer records, and are available only to the owner. We do not collect names, form contents, IP addresses, full referring links, query strings or account activity for these statistics.
Your browser identifier expires after 180 days. A visit ends after 30 minutes without a tracked update. Page statistics are retained for up to 366 days, with expired records removed as new statistics arrive. You can decline or withdraw permission using Website statistics choices in the footer; withdrawal clears the analytics identifiers on this browser. Historical statistics already received remain until retention expires. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable collection. Browser settings and different devices can affect these estimates.
Essential website data.
The site may use essential technical cookies or similar browser storage required for security, account access and form operation. These are not used for third-party advertising.
